The Car Search Companion makes your car shopping experience A LOT easier. Built as a Google Sheets file with only formulas (no integrated AI) it allows you to compare up to 4 cars to help you make an easy choice.
Based on the information you give it, the spreadsheet gives each car a score and provides you with a broken down evaluation of each car in different categories. Based on a points system it judges how well each meets your requirements, matches your lifestyle, and takes into account each car’s condition (for used cars), trade-in offers, and more! You’ll see exactly how each car stacks up against the other and see live rankings as you fill in information about each car.
The Car Search Companion gives you a place to record easy-to-forget information about each car for you to reference back to.
This isn't a basic checklist, but interactive and powerful. The spreadsheet is mobile-friendly and designed with a clean and colorful layout for user-friendliness.
This spreadsheet was inspired by our own car search where we wanted a better way to compare our options and make a confident decision. After seeing how well it worked for us at a basic level, we expanded it by incorporating our former Test Drive Checklist to make it even more powerful.
Note*: A Google account is required to use this file. Once purchased, you’ll be given a .txt file to download that contains the link to the spreadsheet. Google Sheets will ask you if you want to “Make a copy.” Once clicked, and it’ll save a local copy of The Car Search Companion to your Google account.
